 | Ahmed Bahaa
Dr.Ahmed Bahaa is Egyptian Principal Technical Consultant in a Gold Certified Partner located in Cairo, Egypt which is CPS (CompuPharaohs). Dr.Ahmed Bahaa (Ph.D. of Computer Science) is working as an academic staff member too.
For the previous 12 years he has leveraged many Microsoft tools in professional projects. During this technical journey that took place in some American as well as Egyptian companies, he has delivered development, project management, architecture, consultancy, and training for more than 220 customers.
This includes companies Governmental Authorities, Multinationals, and Private Sector IT companies inside and outside Egypt. During his work into one of the American Companies (Aria Systems), he spent six months working into its New York head office.
Dr. Ahmed used to be a Microsoft Public Speaker in the Region. This includes; .NET Launching Event in 2002 – MDC (Microsoft Middle East Developers Conference) 2004 (Key Note speech by Bill Gates), ICT 2004 under the umbrella of Microsoft, MDC 2005 (Key Note speech by Bill Gates). MDC 2006, and MDC 2007. Moreover, He has been invited to deliver a workshop during the VS.Net 2005 Launching event in Kuwait.
He had the honor to be the first technical man in Egypt from the partners’ society to introduce the SQL Server 2005 inside the Microsoft Egypt premises. This took place in March/April 2005. Moreover, he was the guy who was responsible for delivering the EMEA VS.NET 2005 Partners series of events In Egypt (that included the Train the Trainers events).
For the last couple of years he has been responsible through the cooperation that took place between CPS (CompuPharaohs) and Microsoft Egypt to consult ISVs in Egypt in VSTS, Business Intelligence, Data mining using SQL Server 05, and Framework 3.0. He has been chosen as one of 100 MVPs and RDs worldwide who are responsible of spreading the awareness for the latest Microsoft Development platform (VS.NET 2008, Visual Studio Team System 2008 and Framework 3.5) through the Microsoft Metro Early Adaptors Program.
Recently he has been chosen as an EXPERT in the largest Microsoft Developers Technical Conference all over the world which is TechEd 2007 Developers that has been held in Barcelona between 4 and 9th Nov.
Dr. Ahmed is the only VSTS MVP (Microsoft Most Valuable Professional) all over MEA (Middle East and Africa). Recently, He has been awarded by Microsoft Egypt last month as the Top Technology Contributor of the year. Ahmed Bahaa is a husband and father of one kid; Bahaa Al-Din.

This session will try to introduce the road map of the visual studio team system, it new capabilities at the server side, it new capabilities at the editions side, the Microsoft vision for MSF and VSTS as an Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) integrated solution. Then the session will try to concentrate on the DB professional Edition new capabilities in 2008 and how the current 2005 users can acquire some of them. If time permits the session will delves into the implications of the introduction of REST architecture if applied into the next coming versions of VSTS
